Stats on Bloomington Weddings

Finally….information on Bloomington specific weddings. Sorry for my delay, things have been very busy lately! Food for thought this Friday:

1,519 weddings in the Bloomington market in 2008
Forecasted 1,532 weddings in 2009

Average Spending in the Bloomington market:
$21,596 in 2008
$20,194 forecasted in 2009
It is forecasted to increase again in the next few years reaching almost $23,000 by 2014.

Compared to Average US Spending:
$21,814 in 2008
$20,398 forecasted for 2009

Interesting statistics. I was surprised that average Bloomington spending was as high as it was. I thought there might be a greater difference. It will be interesting to see if these numbers change as the year goes on.
